Pura and Ryan

After Glenda
Last July 19, 2014, Pura and Ryan got married at San Antonio De Padua Church in Tagaytay, followed by a beautiful and intimate reception at Tagaytay Midlands.

Typhoon Glenda just happened. All the trees on the way to Tagaytay were devastated. Even Taal Vista had to close for sometime. The electricity inside the hotel was very unstable. Nevertheless the team was greeted with smiles and excitement inside the bride’s hotel preps!

Ryan was wearing a barong, while Pura looked so beautiful with her Filipiniana, both made out of pure pinya cloth with handmade embroidery from Lumban. Everything was all set, until we were informed that there’s no electricity inside the church. It was our first time to shoot without electricity – only with generators. But the wedding must go on, and there’s no excuse for us not to deliver a beautiful wedding film!

Watch the SDE and reminisce with us in this rainy weather.

Danelle’s 18th Birthday

Same Day Edit
I remember clearly how Danelle’s mom booked us. I met her during the bridal fair, but she called me up a few weeks after. She told me that her daughter really wants us to shoot her party. She even told me that she was looking at someone else to shoot it, but because her daughter insisted, and it’s her birthday, she decided to book us. I love Ms. Lennie! She’s very hands-on with her daughter’s party. We all knew that she just wants the best for her daughter. This is how every mom should be!

With all of Ms. Lennie’s hard work, Danelle’s debut was spectacular. Makati Shangri-la’s ballroom was styled beautifully by Henry Pascual. We were thrilled to shoot every bit of it, especially Danelle’s outstanding performance! She made her parents proud that night. How she showed everyone that she’s all grown up now.

Once again, Happy Birthday Danelle! We had an awesome time shooting your birthday.

P.S.
Jason Magbanua did the pre-debut video in Bacolod!

Carmen and Andre

The Wedding Film
We previously blogged about the Same Day Edit of Carmen and Andre’s wedding, which was absolutely stunning. While the SDE was mostly about the newlyweds, part of our service is providing a complete wedding film, which focuses more on the relationship of the newlyweds and their family. Here’s the thing, we don’t really post the full wedding films here on our website. But Carmen and Andre’s wedding is so beautiful that we’re going to make an exception.

I remember a few remarkable moments, like how the family played a big part on their wedding day. The heartfelt speeches from the family made the wedding complete. One of my favorite moments was from Mrs. Edna Lhuillier, when she shared how proud she was to raise Andre, and gave great advice to the couple on their new journey. The sisters of Carmen reminisced about their younger days, and really showed their love through their speech, sharing how they feel at ease with Andre as part of the family. You could really feel the warmth and acceptance of the family.

It’s knowing this side of the story, which makes every wedding film different and more beautiful.

Carmela and Aldo

Give Me an Ordinary Love
Carmela and Aldo got married in Don Bosco Church, followed by a beautiful reception at Blue Leaf Pilipinas.

Carmela is a very special FYAM bride. This is because she’s the youngest sister of Meg, a former FYAM Bride. I was there in Boracay when her sister got married, also the day that I got engaged right after the event. I saw how she meticulously prepared for her sister’s wedding. How she fixed all the bridesmaid’s dress and even had time to sew, a few hours before the wedding.

Months later, she gave me a call and told me she’s also getting married and wanted to book us. Right away, I told the team about this because I’m sure they will also feel happy about it. She would ask advice on who to book for a coordinator, etc. She would also ask me how my preparations are going. Personally, I feel honored that our clients continue to trust us, not only for what we do, but also because they are happy and comfortable in sharing a part of their lives with us.

Congratulations Carmela and Aldo!

Cookie and Keith

Save the Date
For You Are Mine together with Weddings at Work awarded Cookie and Keith with a free save the date video!

How they did it? We asked all the W@W soon to be weds to dance in front of everyone on stage during the event of W@W. We had the liberty to choose the best dancer from all the couples who joined. Cookie and Keith stood from the rest! That’s how much Cookie and Keith wanted this prize.

We got to work with Aira Franco, and K Photography. It was cold and raining pretty bad that day, but hey, you should check out this save the date video. Cookie and Keith didn’t really mind dancing in the midst of the foggy surroundings of Sierra Madre Hotel in Rizal. As a matter of fact, it set the mood. We really enjoyed shooting them because they were so game to do anything for it!

Once again, Congratulations Cookie and Keith!

Leo’s 18th birthday

Leo Turns Eighteen

FYAM loves shooting weddings. But FYAM loves shooting debuts too! Especially when the sister of a former Jason Magbanua couple is celebrating her birthday!

Last June 8, 2014, Leo celebrated her debut at Makati Shangrila. Shooting Leo’s debut is such a breeze. She definitely knows her angles!

Do watch her SDE and see our radiant debutant!

Kae and Kinse

Without You
Kae and Kinse are both based in Davao but are working in Manila. They got married in Santuario de San Antonio, followed by a beautiful reception set-up by Teddy Manuel at Manila Polo Club. Her table set-ups were so beautiful that I wanted to bring home one lamp!

I remember feeling excited with this wedding because we were working with Jeff and Lisa Photography. I am running out of words on how beautiful Kae was with her custom made Veluz gown! I must say that Kae has wonderful taste with her wedding suppliers.

I want to share to you a lot of funny and beautiful things about this wedding, but would rather let you watch this SDE!

Diana’s 18th Birthday

Debut
Diana, aka “Yanna” to her friends turned 18 years old a few weeks ago! Her family and friends from MAPUA were all there to celebrate it. We love how Yanna is so close to her parents and sisters. It manifests how she feels so loved and grateful for all her blessings on her 18th birthday and we are very happy to capture every bit of it!

I guess that’s the reward for being the youngest daughter, and being the good girl she is! She loves Cold Stone so much that she had her own Cold Stone bar at her debut. How cool huh? Not quite yet! There was also a Starbucks station and Perfume station! How time flies, we didn’t have these kinds of entertainment before during debuts!

Happy Birthday Yanna! We had a blast shooting your debut!
