I have come to know that a wedding can be considered boring for boys. I’ve been to a lot of weddings and sometimes catch boys playing games on their iPhone during ceremony. While the bridesmaids, on the other hand, are crying over the exchange of vows.
But let me tell you this. When a boy stops being bored and weirdly starts focusing on what you love, maybe he’s dead serious in love with you.
Mac was the lucky boy who married our sweet and pretty bride, Ely. It’s really not easy working with this couple. Their sweetness can carry you away. I gave them discount just because they were nice, and I believe they wouldn’t be a headache. Lol.
This is the couple that asked me if I cried on their wedding day. (Seems legit to say that they read at least some of my blog posts here) Yes, I did cry… on the vows as usual. It went out like this: “I’ll take love any day. Love makes me smile in the middle of the night…” oops, won’t transcribe the vows here. You must watch it.
I won Weddings At Work Supplier of the Year on 2005. It was the second year they voted for it.
At that time, it was the single greatest accomplishment of my life. (Perhaps after fathering my first born).
It was a moment of pride I carry to this very day.
But don't be fooled, my relationship with W@W dates further back.
Back when John and Benz Rana were only email address entities, back when I was in the crossroads whether to go with videography full time. Back when I would take three hour bus rides to meet prospects and display my work on a tiny 2.5 inch camera LCD.
Let it be known – it was Benz Rana who egged me to join my first bridal fair. Full time or bust.
The years went on and it has become sort of conventional wisdom for suppliers to think that you start at W@W, become popular, gain critical mass then break out to larger markets. I believed that for a time.
But I had a realization.
You never outgrow Weddings at Work.
You may be able to tap larger markets and grow. But the mindset of doing your best, pleasing the client to the utmost, aversion to bad feedback, a genuine fondness for couples, taking that extra step, always – that is W@W.
Sorry to be nostalgic and long-winded. But umm yeah, I just wanted to say that we shot the last grand EB. I only knew a handful of people. But the vibe remained the same as I remembered it – fun, warm and friendly.
We still specialize in wedding films, but with the high demand of debut clients, thus this SDE.
Ricia is currently studying at PSID but I won’t be surprised if I see her on TV singing.
This debut blew me away. Her parents definitely had taste in everything! I bet the guests were talking about it even after the event! It was raining so hard that night at Indigo Suites and Pavilion in Batangas, but everyone just had a good time partying on the catwalk stage.
The debutant wore two Francis Libiran gowns. The event was beautifully styled by Teddy Manuel. Her coordinator was Ernest Pascual of Bespoke Manila. Ricia had her make-up done by Madge Lejano of The Make-up Studio. The food was catered by K. by Cunanan. With the list of suppliers, there is no way that you will go wrong!
Now I will just let you watch the SDE so you understand what I’m talking about.
Jon was nervous but not scared to say what’s inside his heart. This just proves that a man is a man when you have the courage to speak about love. How many guys can do this? Without hesitation! He stood there and told her how much he loves her.
During our client meeting, Angelique told me that Jon didn’t want to say his vows in front of everyone. Just goes to show, you do everything for the one you love.
Vice Chairman of Media Pool Inc., Irma Bernabe just celebrated her birthday last May 24, 2013 at The Manila Peninsula and FYAM is very honored to capture it!
The Rigodon Ballroom was meticulously styled by Henry Pascual. I must say that he did a very good job with the the Las Vegas themed styling. We loved the hints of golden necklaces, bracelets with studded diamonds and the golden hair brush and mirror!
Noel Cabangon, Jed Madela, Aiza Seguerra just to name a few, were there to serenade everyone all night. Everything felt so grand.
Last June 25, 2013, JM and Agnes FINALLY got married.
How many people do you know would marry his grade school classmate? Trust me, I was surprised when they gave me a photo of their class picture for their photo-montage. I’m sure it’s not everyday that someone marries his/her puppy love.
Congratulations and thank you, JM & Agnes for being one of the kindest client!
Watch the SDE and see the beautiful San Agustin Church and a panoramic view of Manila from Bay Leaf Hotel!
It is such an excitement for us wedding videographers how debut SDE's are now becoming a trend! These weren’t a hit during my time, lucky for debutants nowadays they get to reminisce their 18th birthday on HD!
Naomi was Alice in her own Wonderland. It was held last June 15, 2013 at the Sky Lounge of Diamond Hotel and everything was styled tip-top. The event was so mad that the whole entourage was also in costume. The debutant definitely stood out with her Naomi Jewelry embellishments and of course her blue gown in purple lining with detailed pleats!
You really should watch this SDE.
Trivia: Ever heard of Naomi Jewelry in Megamall? Well, it’s named after the daughter of the owners Mr. Joel and Mrs. Mischel Paguio, Naomi herself.
