Weddings at Work Grand EB

A W@W Event
I won Weddings At Work Supplier of the Year on 2005. It was the second year they voted for it. At that time, it was the single greatest accomplishment of my life.  (Perhaps after fathering my first born). It was a moment of pride I carry to this very day. But don't be fooled, my relationship with W@W dates further back.

Back when John and Benz Rana were only email address entities, back when I was in the crossroads whether to go with videography full time. Back when I would take three hour bus rides to meet prospects and display my work on a tiny 2.5 inch camera LCD.

Let it be known – it was Benz Rana who egged me to join my first bridal fair.  Full time or bust.

The years went on and it has become sort of conventional wisdom for suppliers to think that you start at W@W, become popular, gain critical mass then break out to larger markets. I believed that for a time.

But I had a realization.

You never outgrow Weddings at Work.

You may be able to tap larger markets and grow.  But the mindset of doing your best, pleasing the client to the utmost, aversion to bad feedback, a genuine fondness for couples, taking that extra step, always – that is W@W.

Sorry to be nostalgic and long-winded. But umm yeah,  I just wanted to say that we shot the last grand EB.   I only knew a handful of people. But the vibe remained the same as I remembered it – fun, warm and friendly.
